It should have been the ultimate Vale year. The 2nd year in Ducati... endless money wasted. Vale live a WDW ... a dream comes true. In fact it was the opposite. Even the most enthusiastic Ducati Fan wanted to see him back on a Yamaha. Not that someone blamed him for the bad results. Vale is Vale ... we want to see him fighting and winning against Jorge. And this is only possible on the Yamaha. The japanese team approach did fail and Filippo was to first who lost his head because of that. Ducati should probably focus on the David against Goliath position. Buying a Goliath did not work out. Maybe Stoner comes back one day but when he joined Ducati for th first time, he was nobody.
The year started as usual with some winter projects and the moto festivals in Luxembourg and Saarland. The first highlight was the trip to IMOLA to watch the World Superbike series. It was an unforgettable WE. The 2nd was to race the newly restored TR replica in Mettet. Unfortunately the 2nd trackday got canceled because of rain. This also destroyed the firs chance to ride a Pornogali on the racetrack. 2012 also brought some new bikes while 750S made some progress. Rob was very supportive. He did also join a drink in Beaufort. Then there where some unforgettable days in Italy: WDW2012. After a log time not seen we made it with some old bikes to Bikers Classics. After Zorz and Wurmi in 1989, Mikel made it as the 3rd mcb member to the IOM. And we had at least one funny track day in Hockenheim. Finally the old guys are back. Wurmi and Hugo made it through all the alps and the Präsi did buy a 1200S.
