Does it still exist? Did it ever? ... Who knows?

Why?

Everything started again in winter 2001 when gio and mikel discussed about publishing photos of their Ducati's on the Web. Further they needed some private email addresses, not related to the job and more reliable than what you found at that time under "everyday.com" (there was no gmail at that time).  During one of those winter nights mikel was dreaming of the good old days and searching to find a domain name for the things discussed earlier. If you would start setting up a Web page in 2001 you could have called it "MC Cafe Boffer" or "Ducati Freaks from the north", but all this had no tradition and it was not a key subject but just an other moment in time. For any reason mikel came to the conclusion "mcb82.com" would be an interesting domain name. This was the start of a project...

Today and 30 years ago...

Was it fair to start this project? Of course not! None of the old guys have been asked for a reunion. Some of them are still there and organize from time to time a memorial party - others are disappeared, dead or married. Anyway, the most important message to all the old guys: If you are still alive contact us and tell us what you think about it.

Is it a reunion? No! At least not today. And who today needs something like that anyway? There are a lots of young guys in the north interested in bikes. And there are some of the old guys riding as lonesome cowboys through the country or taking the bike for a short trip if their wife is loosing control for an hour.

Feel free to join!

This is the memorial website of the legendary MC Bettendorf founded in 1982.
