TT2 Story (1985-86)

In 1985 I was completely fascinated by the Pantah race bikes. Specially the "Rutter TT2" bike. I had the idea to own a replica of these bikes and to ride it on the street, just like Ducati did it with the MH replica. But as you could not buy them in a shop like the MHR even if you would have had the money... I had to build one on my own.

First drafts - original frame - would have been affordable ... but - No...

...it should be a real TT2 production racer - Yes, it would create a lot of problems...

...of course it would be much to expensive and I did not have the money, but...

This was more likely what I had in mind...

But it would be a long way to go...

I spent the summer in the garage of Rob to build my own bike:

A real TT2 production racer. This bike was a toy: about 150 Kg. Fun pure...

Disadvantages: Lots of problems with the day to day usage of the bike: You better did not ride when it starts raining, ... But the biggest problem was: I tried some month to convince the German TÜV to allow me to ride this bike legally... Without success:-(
